Happy 1st Birthday Tyler!

Happy First Birthday Ty!
I cannot believe my sweet baby boy is already one. What a whirl-wind of a year it was too. It went by way to fast! It seemed just like it was yesterday my 6 and a half pound baby was taking naps on my chest. I'll cherish those precious moments forever. This little boy has more energy than I can handle sometimes. He definitely keeps me on my toes to say the least. He loves to climb on anything. I thought my house was baby proof before, but he always manages to surprise us. Ty loves water like most toddlers do, but his fascination with splashing in the toilet is more than I can bare sometimes. Even though at times he wears me out, I don't know what I would do without my adorable Ty Ty. He reminds me of myself at times. He loves to dance and loves music. He just lights up from ear to ear when he hears any kind of beat. Most of all its so fun to see him with his big brother trying to emulate everything he does.

Here are some of the highlights of his birthday below.

The cousins had a great time too!

Small town 4th of July

For those who stick around Mesa for 4th of July fireworks you are really missing out. For the last couple of years we have been going up to Heber and have had a blast every time.
Before the fireworks start there is a huge party at the high school softball fields. They have music, games, and tons of good food. With my easy up canopy (thanks mom and dad) we had a pretty good set up.

The parade through the center of town is a ton of fun. The crowd is allowed to throw water balloons and shoot water out of water guns. All is well until the fire department rolls up with a little payback. Even diving behind a chair didn't help me much. We all got it pretty bad.

Tyler enjoying the comfort of his wagon.

This float was about the funniest thing I have ever seen. They were really good.

There really is little doubt why Tyler is a tough as he is. My guess this is the kind of rough play that takes place when we are not looking.

Sea World!!!!!

We were definitely overdue for a family trip of some kind.  This year we decided to go visit our friend Shamu.

He was nice enough to be waiting for us at the gate.

One of the first stops is the Budweiser Clydesdales.  They are huge!  Hunter loved them of course.

Some of you may know that I love ducks, so you can imagine my excitement when we came across some here in the food court.  But these are not your average run of the mill birds.  They are specially trained ninja ducks!  I have never seen ducks this aggressive.  I felt lucky to have gotten away with my wallet.  My pizza was not so lucky.....

Becca and Tyler having a good time at the Sesame Street playground

What can I say, this is such a cute picture of Tyler I couldn't pass it up.  He was such a good sport on this trip.

At first this seemed like a great idea.  I'll hold Hunter up so he can pet the rays.  Not such a good idea.  He wanted nothing to do with them.

This whole sitting up in the stroller is fairly new to Tyler, but as you can see he was so happy to be cruising in his new ride

I promise we didn't put Hunter up to this.  All of a sudden he runs up to this speaker and starts dancing a jig.  He did this to several speakers he found along the way.

Family Pictures

Merry Christmas to all!

The kids were anything but cooperative during our Christmas pictures, but we did manage to get a few in.  Special shout out to our cousin Brooke who took the pictures and put it all together!  Thanks Brooke!

Turning 30!!

Okay,  since Brandon has been doing most of the posting, I thought I would give it a shot.  He is thrilled!  A couple of days ago, I turned 30! I can't believe I am admitting this to everyone, because there are three things I always lie about, my age, my weight, and my true hair color. Everyone was calling and asking me if I was okay.  Honestly, I am not sad at all to be leaving my 20's.  Don't get me wrong, I loved that decade.  I grew more in my 20's than in all my 30 years.  I went through many trials that have made me the woman I am today and I grew closer to my Savior because of them.  I married the man of my dreams, (literally I had dreams about him two years before I ever met him).  Anybody who has heard the story about how we met knows we were destined to be together.  He is amazing!!!  He is so sweet and gentle with our sons and I.  We have been blessed with two little boys, who constantly make us smile.  It's never a bad day when we are with them.  What great blessings families, friends, and neighbors are.  You know who you are.  I don't know what we would do with out you guys.  So if you ask me, is it hard turning 30 for you?  I'll tell you it is awesome!  I love where I am in my life.  I feel I am so blessed to get to do what do everyday, which is take care of our little boys and my sweet husband.
