I'm finally getting these pictures up of our trip down Salame creek. With last winter's heavy snows there was a ton of water going down the canyon. For those who were invited and didn't go you really missed out.

This is at the start of the canyon. As you can see there is a lot of water flowing this time of year.

Time to embrace the fact there is no way to stay dry in this canyon. My cousin tried to keep his pack dry for as long as he could (see him on the left?). He
eventually gave up

This was an interesting picture......That driftwood in the back was way over our heads. I can't imagine one would live too long down there when the water is that high.

Nothing ......Just a cool picture

The look on my face says it all. The water was some of the coldest I have ever been in. Just why didn't I pee in my wetsuit you say? I tried that......Unfortunately my
equipment doesn't work in cold conditions like that.

Just working our way down

Some of us striking a pose.

Water was crystal clear

No I am not signaling to
turn right. Just getting ready to go down the slide.
Rappelling down the waterfall

I must admit I like
rappelling down vs jumping
